Overview
Metalab is an renowned design agency known for designing, building, and shipping products worth talking about. The team works closely with startups and major tech companies to shape how people interact with software, creating product experiences for some of the world’s most popular apps and platforms.
During my time, I was involved in an ongoing project where I contributed to the development of an AI-native, B2B e-commerce platform that emphasized delight. My work spanned 3 areas of the product, including onboarding, trust scoring, and shareable profiles.
What I Did
Defined the art direction and strategy for the core onboarding experience.
My first task was to establish backdrop art direction for the core onboarding experience. Building on prior team explorations, I refined a visual direction that aligned with the product’s core brand identity while meeting the design team’s aesthetic standards. This process included 30+ visual explorations and four design critiques, ultimately narrowing the work down to two final directions.
Supported explorations for verification and trust on the marketplace.
I supported the design team in exploring ways to visualize brand and product verification across the platform and how buyers would access these trust signals. This helped reinforce platform legitimacy and buyer confidence.
Enabled brands to share their profiles publicly.
I led the design of a public link modal embedded in the brand dashboard, enabling brands to generate and share a public-facing version of their profile outside the platform.
